Vernal Pool Curriculum
Our natural world provides endless opportunities for our students to learn about biology, science, art, arithmetic, geology, and more. However, they do not always get the chance given the constraints on teachers to teach to the test.
At the Ohio Environmental Council we have developed several lesson plans that both, fit the state’s requirements, and engage students in learning about wetlands, specifically vernal pools.
We can use vernal pools to help students develop critical thinking skills, problem solving, team building, and researching and presenting skills.
Every classroom is unique and these lessons are made to be adapted to your particular needs.
